Kim was born and raised in Tacoma, and is the youngest of five children. She spent 30 years studying dance, at the Tacoma Performing Dance Company and UW Dance Program. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Washington, and is a part-time Dental Hygienist for her brother Dr. Greg Plancich.
Raised going to church, Kim found in her early 30’s that she was longing for a deeper relationship with God. After going on a Mission Trip to Africa, she came closer to Him, and met her husband, Dan shortly after. As the mother of three boys who has a passion for children knowing the love of Jesus, Kim became the Director of Emmanuel’s Kids Church, and Director of Discipleship in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys working out and spending time with her family.
Annie believes that all we need in life is Jesus and a sense of humor! She is so grateful for the abundant life Jesus brings. When she is not serving in the Music & Worship Department at Emmanuel or working on her Master’s degree in Worship Studies, she’s probably playing the piano or with family or friends laughing so hard her face hurts.
Annie is passionate about helping create engaging worship experiences where our Emmanuel family can come together to reach up to God in worship and out to each other in the community!
John was born in Helena, MT, and he was raised in the church. He gave his life to Jesus at age six. He moved with his family to Puyallup, WA when he was fifteen years old. John began a “prodigal journey” back to the Lord while working as a deckhand and a foreman for ten-years on 300-foot commercial fishing vessels in Alaska’s Bering Sea for Pollock and Pacific Cod. The Lord ultimately pulled John away from the rugged fisherman lifestyle and back to the local church. He also returned to academics where he earned a B.A. in American Studies at the University of Washington, Tacoma; an Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College; a Master of Divinity and is almost finished with a Doctor of Ministry from Faith International University (FIU) in Tacoma, WA.
John also currently serves as the Executive Vice President at FIU where he is a shepherd to pastors and to those hungering for a deeper understanding of the Word in an academic setting.
Kim was raised in Tacoma and received her BA in Leadership and MA in Leadership Ministry from Faith International University. She works during the week at Faith International University as the Director or Advancement and Admissions. Her passion is to build up the body of Christ to maturity both spiritually and in prayer through teaching and discipleship.
She lives in University Place with her husband, John, and two boys. In her spare time, she loves to be outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Also, Lainey is engaged to be married in the Summer of 2020 to the newest member on our worship team at Emmanuel, Brayden Seims.
